In order to get the most out of your BLoCK sharpener we suggest you follow these simple instructions.

Sharpening Knives of all styles
We suggest you give the knife six to seven
heavy to medium strokes (fig 1). Then
stroke the blade three more times
lightly. Thus honing the edge. This will
make the blade stay sharper longer. The
Block sharpener sharpens both sides of
the blade at once without changing the
original angles of the blades.

Sharpening a serrated edge
The Block Sharpener is small and round,
which enables it to reach into the curved
edges so that you sharpen the entire cutting
area, not just the tips. To sharpen, hold (fig2)
and press firmly while stroking
slowly to allow the sharpener to drop into
the curved section. Continue the back and
fourth stroke six to seven times, then give a
few light strokes to hone the edge.

Sharpening Scissors
To sharpen Scissors, hold sharpener
sideways (fig 3) and sweep across the
edge of the knife away from you. Then turn
scissors on their side and repeat this
action. This will square the inside corners.
